THE CONCEPT
RUSH
The concept behind this business is quite straightforward. We are mainly here to grow the Parkour Sport industry on the Maltese islands. As many are not aware, a basic Gymnastics background will be more than helpful when it comes down to Parkour, hence we combined both! We also offer fitness classes such as body strength workouts and flexibility sessions which are also two extremely important pillars behind practicing this Sport. Individual or group classes can be tailored towards any specific ability. Your dream is our mission!
Parkour
The sport originally termed Art du Deplacement, now also often referred to as Parkour or Freerunning, was founded in France in the 1980s by a group of nine young men. The founders are David Belle, Yann Hnautra, Chau Belle, Laurent Piemontesi, Sebastien Foucan, Guylain N’Guba Boyeke, Charles Perriere, Malik Diouf and Williams Belle.
The term ‘Parkour’ was first introduced by David Belle in 1998. Parkour derives from the French word Parcours meaning ‘route’ or ‘course’
The term ‘Freerunning’ was the creation of Guillaume Pelletier, a representative of a group of French practitioners involved in the production of a Channel 4 documentary, Jump London, in 2003. This term was used in order to communicate this amazing new sport to an English-speaking audience.
What is Parkour?
Parkour / Freerunning / Art du Deplacement is the primarily non-competitive physical discipline of training to move freely over and through any terrain using only the abilities of the body, principally through running, jumping, climbing and quadrupedal movement. In practice it focuses on developing the fundamental attributes required for such movement, which include functional strength and fitness, balance, spatial awareness, agility, coordination, precision, control and creative vision.
It is a sport that encourages self-improvement on all levels, revealing one’s physical and mental limits while simultaneously offering ways to overcome them. It is a method of training one’s body and mind in order to be as completely functional, effective and liberated as possible in any environment.
The sport aims to build confidence, determination, self-discipline and self-reliance, and responsibility for one’s actions. It encourages humility, respect for others and for one’s environment, self-expression, community spirit, and the importance of play, discovery and safety at all times.
Gymnastics
Gymnastics is a sport that includes physical exercises requiring balance, strength, flexibility, agility, coordination, and endurance. The movements involved in gymnastics contribute to the development of the arms, legs, shoulders, back, chest, and abdominal muscle groups. Gymnastics evolved from exercises used by the ancient Greeks that included skills for mounting and dismounting a horse, and from circus performance skills.

Isaac Camilleri Liberto
(Instructor & Performer)
13 years of professional Artistic Gymnastics and 9 years of
Parkour & Free-running.
PARKOURIST, STUNT MAN, GYMNAST, MUSICIAN,
MODEL, DANCER, ACTOR.
The distinctive feature of Isaac Camilleri Liberto’s artistic background is his eclectic array of talents which singles him out as a Maltese Performer. His formal training and education in Malta, Italy and the UK also reflect this versatility and resourcefulness.
Isaac trained as a gymnast for 13 years and he is well known in Malta for his intrepid feats of parkour across the island, which has attracted substantial media coverage. He is also a founding member of the multi talented performance groups, MalteseMotion and INEFABLE. Their most notable performances were for CHOGM in 2015, performing for Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth; Malta’s Got Talent, reaching the semifinals; Lovin’ Malta Music Awards and the opening gala of the Valletta Cultural City of 2018 Celebrations.
Isaac is also an accomplished musician and dancer. Many of his musical compositions have reached the top levels in the Maltese music charts. His dance performances include the ballet La Bayadere in 2013. It would take pages and pages to simply list the array of talents and activities this dexterous young man has achieved and is capable of.
Isaac Camilleri Liberto is fully qualified to teach and coach Parkour by ADAPT and has several training certifications.
